Your Role:

A Senior Scientist, your role is to function as the primary scientific resource to drive and support assay development and/or commercial application of new and innovative service offerings within the biosafety testing space. You are responsible for the overall design and implementation, and scientific integrity of technical work performed in the laboratory, and for ensuring the needs of internal and external clients are appropriately met, effectively interpreted, and communicated clearly to the client. Your primary responsibility is to function as the lead and subject matter expert (SME) within a virology. You will liaise closely with upper management, bioinformatics (as applicable), laboratory and support staff to ensure internal and external expectations are met or exceeded. You will be responsible for the development and/or performance of custom and/or routine testing in accordance with all SOPs and regulations (GxP). You will be expected to lead by example and work collaboratively to advance the application of virology in biosafety testing.

 

Who you are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in scientific discipline with 4+ years of academia or industry experience in virology or cell therapy.   
  • Ability to lead cross functional projects with both internal and external customers.
  • Strong regulatory knowledge (GxP).
  • Strong experience with experimental design.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills that have been demonstrated through presentations/seminars etc.
  • Strong conceptual and strategic thinking.
  • Effective coaching and training skills for complex and highly technical work.
