Your Role:

The OEM & Custom Business Development Specialist will support Field Sales Account Managers in the North American Diagnostic Segment with advancing Contract Manufacturing and Custom Project business. The successful candidate will be expected to conduct technical product and capability discussions, as well as liaise with all internal stakeholders (Operations, PMO, ISCO, QA/QC, Customer Excellence, etc.) when necessary to advance projects to completion.  The position is responsible for presenting solutions which include value-add, complementary products, and/or services that advance the opportunity to recognize revenue. The Specialist will manage the OEM & Custom process from start to finish and is responsible for coordinating all internal activities to expedite proposals, provide project-related solutions, and secure orders for pilot, validation, and commercial lots. Identify, progress, and close OEM and Custom opportunities within the N.A. Diagnostic Manufacturing Segment in partnership with the NADX Field Sales Team. Coordinate all OEM and Custom Opportunity activities, incorporating the business needs of the Segment, Franchise, PMO, and Operations teams. Ability to navigate complex internal processes and build relationships with key Internal Stakeholders. Understand the Diagnostic Manufacturing customer's applications, business needs and long-term goals, and successfully communicate MilliporeSigma's OEM and Custom offering to build long-lasting partnerships. Develop and execute long-term supply agreements and multi-year strategic action plans. Provide feedback/VOC to aid the development of workflow solutions, custom offerings, and relevant value propositions. Maintain and regularly present accurate sales forecasts and opportunity pipeline funnels.

 

*Role is field based and can be located anywhere in the US close to major airport

 

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
  • 5+ years of sales experience in the Life Science industry
  • Ability to travel up to 50% within the defined territory (U.S./Canada)

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or a related discipline strongly preferred
  • Manufacturing and/or Project Management and Operations experience a strong asset
