Ideal Candidate will be located in the Greater Toronto Area (preferred) or Ottawa due to focus of travel
Your role: You will develop and execute patient access strategies, with a focus on translating clinical and health economic data to secure, maintain or improve reimbursement of the product portfolio. You will lead government affairs activities on a provincial or regional basis by instilling knowledge and understanding of local issues, policies and government dynamics and lead local evidence value demonstration: clinical, cost-benefit/budget impact and burden of disease arguments, among others as needed. You will also develop market access strategies to support recently launched neurology and oncology products at the provincial level and, with select products, at the national level.
You will also develop formulary listing submissions for public payers, private insurers and occasionally large employers (this may include responding to RFPs/RFIs and tenders) and contribute to pricing and formulary positioning of existing and new products. You will identify, manage and leverage patient and stakeholder communities who share a common interest and objective with EMD in improving access or shaping policy and Design, lead and implement patient access initiatives, aligned to patient advocacy, education and awareness programs and campaigns.
Who You Are: You have a minimum Bachelor’s Degree (sciences, economics, political science, or public administration), with a Post-graduate experience an asset (in a related field – e.g. Health Economics). You have strong verbal and written communication with Being bilingual (English and French) as an asset. You have 5+ years’ experience in Pharma/Biotech, public healthcare (hospital, health region or authority) or government (with a focus on public health), and a demonstrated experience in Government Affairs or Market Access preferred, with specific experience in the development of access/formulary listing submissions to government and other payers. You have specific experience developing market access strategies for Oncology products and a strong understanding of current pharmaceutical industry payer environment. You have experience bringing products through the formulary submissions and pricing process (navigating CADTH and INESSS; CDR/pCODR; and the pCPA), and a commitment to IMC Code of Conduct and Health Canada rules and regulations governing communication to HCP and non-HCP community stakeholders. You are also politically astute with strong facilitation, communication and negotiation skills. You You also have a home office set up and have a willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time.
