Your Role:

This scientist position will support efforts leading to the development of novel technologies, processes and reagents for cell therapy manufacturing. This hands-on position will provide cell culture and analysis expertise supporting technology and product development. The position involves working with a broad group of technical and non-technical personnel including scientists, engineers and business partners.  The successful candidate will play an important role as an integral part of a dynamic and highly matrixed team in MilliporeSigma’s Cell Therapy Bioprocessing group.


Who You Are:


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Cell Biology or related life science field such as Biology, Microbiology
  • 2+ years of experience working in lab environment



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in cell culture media development and product development is preferred.
  • Solid experience and theoretical knowledge of analysis techniques: examples include microscopy, flow cytometry analysis, immunoassays, qPCR, ELISA.
  • Has experience with cell culture in bioreactor format.
  • Has experience with designing, executing and troubleshooting new protocols and assays.
  • Is expected to work safely and efficiently in the lab, plan schedules and arrange own activities to accomplish objectives with short deadlines.
  • Has the ability to work effectively in a highly matrixed team environment.
  • Background in cell culture techniques and demonstrated experience and knowledge of a variety of cell types, including stem cells and T cells.
