Your Role

The Operations Supervisor - Manufacturing, Filling, and Packaging oversees manufacturing, production, filling, labeling, and packaging (standard and custom) of product; tracks production workflows and performance; develops staff and actively engages in performance management; oversees successful technology transfers; implements and utilizes LEAN and Six Sigma methodologies; ensures the department is aligned with Company goals; develops budgets and monitors costs; delivers frequent detailed presentations to management and staff on department activities, performance against departmental and company goals and workflows; ensures safe work practices; carries out administrative duties relating to managing a team of hourly employees.

•Supervise manufacturing, labeling, filling, and packaging operations in Production Department

•Track and monitor production performance

•Supervise and develop staff through coaching, mentoring, and education; ensure the department is aligned with Company goals

•Manage Production schedules and hourly staff schedules

•Develop budgets and cost monitoring; regularly deliver status presentations

•Oversee successful technology transfers

•Oversee manufacturing, filling, packaging, and labeling processes

•Supervise and manage Manufacturing Lab Technicians, Production Associates

•Educate and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices and compliance with regulations


 Who you are:

Physical Attributes:

  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, talking, hearing and use of hands
  • Reaching with arms, stooping often required; kneeling is sometimes required
  • Frequent use of computer equipment
  • The environment is that of an open manufacturing environment and/or laboratory
  • Must be able to lift up to a maximum of 25 lbs. on occasion


Basic Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Engineering, or related science
  • 2+ years’ experience supervising or managing employees
  • 2+ years’ experience with GMP, ISO and/or an FDA regulated environment
  • 2+ years’ experience in SAP required


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience supervising or managing employees in a regulated manufacturing environment is strongly preferred
