Your Role:

MilliporeSigma, a leader in providing products and services to the bioprocess industry, is searching for a motivated technician for our Analytical Technologies team.  The position is based in Bedford, MA and is part of the BioProcessing Research and Development (R&D) group.   The Analytical Technologies group focuses on the development, optimization and performance of analytical methodology supporting research and development of new products for MilliporeSigma’s filtration and single-use business.


Who You Are:

The successful candidate will have good organizational skills and self-motivation. Must have good laboratory habits and be able to follow SOPs, procedures and protocols. Able to multi-task, handle routine as well as non-routine requests and assist other members of the group as required. Familiar with established laboratory procedures.  Able to carry out experiments under close supervision. Possesses excellent record keeping skills, good written and verbal communications skills, and interacts effectively with peers and with people outside of the group. Able to work effectively with others to complete collaborative projects.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of working experience with the quantification of small molecules; familiarity with techniques and instrumentation such as TOC, HPLC, Ion chromatography, Instron, viscosity, and Karl Fischer.
  • 1+ years of experience working with Analytical chemistry principals with working knowledge of Health and Safety precautions and risks in the lab environment
  • 1+ years working knowledge in the operation of lab equipment and the ability to recognize equipment issues and take corrective action
  • 1+ years of computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft word, excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint software.  


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Associate degree preferred
  • Experience working in an analytical laboratory is preferred.
