Your Role: Reporting to the Head of Applied Marketing Communications the position acts as a consultant, influencer and strategic thought partner to the senior leadership and our global commercial leaders. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of strategic business and marketing plans for the Applied Solutions business to include: effectively assessing the situation/communications need for our commercial organization, outlining strategy and developing of key messages, as well as recommending appropriate tactics and vehicles (e.g., Applied App), to achieve the goals of the business. This position understands business/audience needs and proactively helps shape marketing messages across all channels with strategic programs that effectively deliver measurable results. The role itself will include a focus on the following key areas:

  • Develop a global MarCom campaign plan in close collaboration with the Applied stakeholders
  • Implement an integrated MarCom campaign plan for all customer channels (Online and offline)
  • Manage internal and external service providers and agencies
  • Establish effective working relationships with Applied stakeholders
  • Monitor MarCom effectiveness through campaigns, metrics via the customer journey model (Awareness, Engagement, Consideration and Purchase)
  • Applied App – Strategic program development and direction for the tool
  • Applied Events – Strategic and executional delivery of Applied events (including Sales meetings)
  • Applied Solutions Strategic Marketing Communications – Driving the continued messaging of Solving Healthy, Solving Safe to the external market place; Support marketing communications for high priority focus areas such as F&B and Diagnostics


Who you are:

A vibrant, energetic person with a “Can Do” attitude, who drives activity, whilst strategically planning out activity linked to the priorities of the Applied business and the core Customer Journey stages.

  • MBA or Master’s degree in related field: Business, Communications or Marketing
  • 6+ years of relevant experience within in a highly-matrixed organization
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability to work with various staff
  • Computer fluency in (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) is required
  • Available to travel 25% of the time
