Your role: The candidate will be a part of a versatile lab team with different methods in the field of spectroscopy (UV/vis, IR, fluorescence), thermal analysis (TGA, DSC) and electrochemistry (CV, SR) to analyze new organic light emitting diodes (OLED) and liquid crystal materials. The candidate will be included in the characterization of new materials regarding physical and chemical properties as well as in development and optimization of procedures. The internship takes place in the Central Analytical Services Department in Darmstadt.

We offer analytical services to internal customers. One of these services is the characterization and analysis of high tech materials for display and lighting applications based on OLEDs and LCs. Our services include the improvement of analytical procedures and routine measurements as well.

Who you are:

• Student (m/f) of Chemistry or Analytical Sciences

• Broad knowledge of instrumental analytical methods and computer skills

• Very good organizational and communication skills

• German and/or English (excellent knowledge spoken and written)

• Fast learner with organizational talent and strong team player

Duration: 9-12 months fulltime, starting in July 2018
